Application
Tollbooth lanes are often utilized to allow motorists in single-
occupant vehicles to access high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
Tolls are collected either by manned tollbooths, automatic
number plate recognition, or electronic toll collection systems.
The main function of a tollbooth lane is to identify, record,
and control passage of vehicles, to carry out toll payments
and transmit acquired information to monitoring and local toll
plaza facilities. Toll payment information is monitored and
aggregated at each toll plaza and reported to central
administration for further custom processing.
Toll systems require an industrial platform integrated with
serial communication cards to connect and control the
systems, remit related data to the control center, and control
barriers, read vehicle license plates, and control trigger
settings via capture cards.
